NASA astronauts wear magnets in their spacesuits

The Earth's magnetic field is an essential element in our health. Without it, as occurs during space travel, atoms lose energy and essential nutrients in the body become depolarised and unusable, a condition that can lead to imbalance, poor body functioning and ill health. To combat astronaut sickness, upon their return to Earth, NASA began placing magnets in its space ships and in the suits of astronauts.

Some cows have magnets in their stomach

As cows graze it is not uncommon for them to ingest small fragments of metal such as nails, bits of fencing wire or other metal scrap. Eventually these fragments can penetrate the stomach wall, sometimes into the lungs or heart, or cause leaking of digestive juices, which results in serious infections and often death. Veterinarians and farmers have known for many years that having a cow swallow a large, smooth magnet will help attract these fragments and prevent damage to the stomach wall.

Cleopatra wore lodestones magnets

Lodestone is a natural magnetic rock, first discovered, and noted for its healing powers, by the Ancient Greeks. Ancient Chinese medical history identifies the EarthŐs magnetic field as generating the life force Chi, which they believed could be enhanced with magnets. Early Egyptian literature makes reference to the restorative powers of magnets and that Cleopatra wore them to suppress wrinkles.

Magnets repel grapes

A strong rare earth magnet will repel a grape simply because it contains water. Water is diamagnetic and both poles of a magnet repel diamagnetic materials.

Magnets can make concrete stronger

Using magnetised water in a concrete mix will make it 25% to 30% stronger.

Magnets can make combustion engines more efficient

UK Government studies show that passing fuel through a magnetic field before it enters the combustion chamber will lead to a cleaner burn and increased fuel efficiency in excess of 10%.

Permanent magnetic fields pass freely through our bodies

Heat, sound, electricity and x-rays are blocked by bone, slowed by skin resistance and may be absorbed by soft tissue and muscle. Important to medical technology is the fact that magnetic fields will pass freely through all parts of our body structure.

Magnets are actually quite delicate

Magnets will gradually lose their energy when subjected to heat. Dropping them or striking them with a hard object can also cause a loss of energy.
